Indiana's Growing Labor Force At Unprecedented Level, Yet John Gregg Stands With Hillary Clinton's War on Indiana Coal

Statement

The Pence Administration today announced Indiana has gained an unprecedented 60,000 workers into our labor force in 2016. Democrat gubernatorial candidate and former lobbyist John Gregg however still stands by Hillary Clinton's war on Hoosier coal jobs. His silence on her statement a month ago on CNN, vowing to "Put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business," continues even as former employer Peabody Coal announced their bankruptcy earlier this week.

"As more Hoosiers are going to work than ever before under the leadership of Governor Mike Pence, John Gregg is determined to shift Indiana's economy into reverse," said Marty Obst, Executive Director of Mike Pence for Indiana. "The Clinton/Gregg war on Indiana coal jobs must stop. Where is John Gregg while Hoosier coal jobs are at stake? Is he going to stand up to ticket-mate Hillary Clinton?"
